Sam Hibbins MP, Victorian Greens LGBTI spokesperson has announced the Victorian Greens proposal for a ‘Rainbow State’ special interest number plate at Midsumma Carnival

“The ‘Rainbow State’ special interest number plate would be made available to all Victorian vehicle owners for a fee with money raised going to support cash strapped LGBTI community groups and organisations”

“The ‘Rainbow State’ special interest number plates will include the tagline ‘Victoria -The Rainbow State’ and demonstrate Victoria as an inclusive and welcoming state for LGBTI people”

“The Victorian Greens are committed to achieving LGBTI equality in Victoria and are seeking feedback on our ‘Equality Bill’ which will amend the Equal Opportunity Act to remove exemptions for religious organisations.”
