Question on Notice: Mr. Hibbins to ask the Minister for Transport Infrastructure

In regards to the upgrade of South Yarra Station:

(1) What is the latest information on the upgrade on the South Yarra station?

(2) When will the works under planning permit 0483/19, which was approved in July 2019, commence?

(3) When will the South Yarra station master plan be released?

Answer:

I thank the Member for Prahran for his question.

Work on the South Yarra station entrance and the tram stops outside the station is expected to begin later this year, with detailed design well underway. This will include the internal station building works covered by planning permit 0483/19.

This is a complex project with major benefits for the South Yarra community, and we are making sure we take the time to get it right.

The South Yarra Station Masterplan will be released and considered as part of future budget considerations.
