Terminally ill people should have the right to end their lives on their own terms.
The overwhelming majority of Victorians support laws that allow for assisted dying and that no one should be forced to suffer in their final stage of their life.
People at the end of their lives should have the option of a quick, peaceful and dignified death if their pain is intolerable. In 2016 recommendations were made following a cross-party inquiry into end of life choices, which have resulted in an upcoming conscience vote in parliament later this year.
